Dynamic Laws of Prosperity
Published in Paperback by Prentice Hall Trade (May, 1974)
Author: Catherine Ponder
Average review score:

Best book on prosperity you'll ever read
I'd give this book a 10-star rating if I could.

I've read many self-help, motivational books over 20 years time and all have help in some small way. However, this book has helped me in a MONUMENTAL way.

The book is an amazingly comprehensive explanation on how our attitudes and thoughts shape our lives, and how to approach all of life's situations so that you are prospered. The book explains that the word "rich" means having an "abundance of good" or living a fuller, more satisfying life, and that you are prospersous to the degree that you are experiencing peace, health, happiness and plenty in your world. So as well as becoming financially independent and secure, all areas of your life prosper, such as relationships, health, ect., and really, that's what everyone wants, even if they don't realize it.

Another section of the book says that if you persist in expecting and talking about prosperity and success, there is no power in heaven or earth that can prevent them from appearing in your world. What a powerful, true statement.

Catherine Ponder states: Desire is God tapping at the door of your mind, trying to give you greater good. She explains that it is NORMAL to want to prosper! This made a huge difference to my way of thinking.

I bought this book in the summer ..., read it once, immediately re-read it and highlighted passages, and am now in the third reading in the spring ... and am writing out affirmations and practicing what the book suggests. My life wasn't even in bad shape when I picked up the book, and yet I felt something missing. As I apply the principles of this book to my life, layers and layers of sadness and a certain depression I didn't even realize I had are dissolving.

The "dynamic laws of prosperity" are words I've been searching for all my life, and I am thankful, greatful, and appreciative to have finally found them.

An Excellent Tool for Developing Prosperity Consciousness!
This is a supreme book for shedding old, unwanted belief systems and thinking patterns that can block prosperity in one's life. I have read many books on prosperity, and none of them have impacted me as much as this one has. I could literally feel my consciousness being cleared of poverty thinking and false beliefs as I read the book. The author does an excellent job of recounting inspirational anecdotes and examples of how others have successfully enlisted God's help in attracting financial prosperity into their lives. This helped me enormously, as it illustrated that if they can do it, surely I can as well!

I especially recommend this book for anyone who does spiritually-related work for a living (i.e., ministerial work, spiritual counseling and teaching, etc.). Sometimes, we can hold the erroneous belief that poverty is holy, and we should not accept money for helping others in a spiritual way. However, we must accept money for our work if we expect to do things like eat, keep a roof over our heads and pay our bills! Catherine Ponder helped me to eradicate some remaining resistance I had to accepting money for spiritual work, and I am eternally blessed and grateful as a result. The book also helped me to resolve old beliefs that there is only so much to go around. In truth, we live in a completely abundant and prosperous universe, and God can provide for everyone's needs abundantly, prosperously, and simultaneously. The more people who realize this and put these principles into practice, the more we will experience this on our planet. Please go within and ask for higher guidance to see if this book is right for you- it has already brought many, many people a host of Divine blessings!

Catherine Ponder's book is timeless and invaluable!
I read this book many years ago and was totally inspired and helped. Eventually, it fell apart and I got away from its powerful message. But I never forgot its impact.I have just bought another copy so I may once again immerse myself in its wisdom, advice, motivation, and wonderful prosperity-creating affirmations. I would recommend Catherine Ponder's books to anyone and everyone who wants to live life to the fullest!

Open Your Mind to Prosperity

Great Tool If You Truly Want To Be Rich In Life And Money
Great Book! I have all of Catherine POnder's books and love them all. Dynamic Laws of Prosperity is my favorite, but this one is another hit. I'm reading it agan right now. I can't say enough about how these books have not only changed my life, but it has done amazing things for my family and friends as well. Every day I hear new and wonderful ways it;s working in my friends and families lives. This book, and faith is all you need to get you the life you've always wanted.

WONDERFUL CATHERINE PONDER
This is another of Ponder's classics. It is divided into Part 1: Basic Methods for Demonstrating Prosperity and Part 2: Other Ways of Demonstrating Prosperity. I suppose by now nothing is new as many other metaphysical writers have explained these same techniques, but Ponder has a uniquely inspired style and her writings have the capacity for immediately lifting one up out of despondency. I especially loved the following thought from Chapter 9: "There are those people who read self-help books and take numerous success courses, who get the idea that mind power is all there is; that if they just use mind power sufficiently, everything will come their way ... the time usually comes, though, when they realize that [that] is not enough, and they begin to "spin their wheels" spiritually." I agree with her that practicing the love concept will do more to help one achieve your goals than all the hard mental effort in the world. There is one thing I do not agree with, and that is the dogmatic concept of "tithing" since this idea has been very much abused by organised religion. I do not believe that giving should be prescribed in percentages and here I concur with other great metaphysicians like Dr Joseph Murphy that exact percentages are less important than the spirit of giving. Perhaps the best chapter in this book is the explanation of "divine restoration" which, if practiced, will help more people than all the anti-depressant medication in the world. I salute Catherine Ponder as one of the greatest writers of the 20th century, and may her work continue to help and inspire as many people as possible to experience abundance and fulfilment in their lives.

Another Madison Reviewer
Catherine Ponder's books are wonderful, inspiring, and amazing! I highly recommend reading "Open Your Mind to Prosperity" and "Open Your Mind to Receive." Three years ago I read both of these books and followed her ideas of envisioning, praying, and tithing - and my life has changed dramatically! Since, then I have met the man of my dreams and we are getting married next year. I received the car that I've wanted, finished college, quit smoking, and lost weight! Catherine Ponder truely opened my eyes to the Divine Wisdom of God!

Another Lisa Wheeler Delight!
"Sailor Moo: Cow at Sea" is another delightful picture book by Lisa Wheeler. This wonderful flowing rhyme tells a wonderful story of the pursuit of dreams, adventure, pirates and romance. Like Lisa's other books "Turk and Runt" and "Wool Gathering, A Sheep Family Reunion", she catches you up in her rhyme and makes you believe it is so. Lisa's sense of humor will make the adults giggle. This book is a must read for everyone young and old. Ponder Goembel was the perfect choice to illustrate this beautiful book.

It's "moo-sic" to my 5yr olds ears!
I just checked this book out from the library and my son and I LOVE it so much I'm now ordering it from Amazon. I'm also getting another copy to give as a gift for a friend's son who is also turning 5 years old. I have now found a book I enjoy reading to my child as much as I enjoy reading "Oliva" to him. It's a winner!

Udderly Irresistible!
Put this one on your gift list! An old-fashioned (cow)love story, told with hilarity in fun to read-aloud rhyme. Text and illustrations are wonderful!

Dynamic Laws of Healing
Published in Paperback by DeVorss & Company (March, 1989)
Authors: Cahterine Ponder and Catherine Ponder
Average review score:

This book can change your life!
I first read this 2 years ago. Since then, I have read many of her other books as well as one from Florence Scovell Shinn. I am not the same person I was then.

You can completely change your experience of life by reading this book. Your thoughts and words are a form of energy and can be used to create the life you want for yourself.

INSIGHTFUL & VALUABLE REFERENCE
The author shares the spiritual laws of healing and deals with the causes of emotional and physical problems. She shows one how to turn on the corrective thoughts in order to change the whole pattern of your life for the better. It is explained that everybody can use these ancient healing laws and there's nothing mysterious about them. In fact, healing constantly takes place in our lives in simple ways that seem miraculous. We all have the healing power, if we only realize it. The healing laws include: The "No" law, "Surprise" law, Law of Release, the "Yes" law, Praise law, Law of love, Miracle law, Occult law, Imaging law & the Mystical law. Countless examples of healing are provided to demonstrate these laws in action. A pleasure to read and a book that substantially expands one's consciousness. Should be on every healer' bookshelf.

Ponder teaches techniques that work!
I have read all of Catherine Ponder's books and cannot recommend them highly enough. She is the ONLY author in this genre who provides new insights and new techniques in each and every one of her books. (Other authors recycle the same idea in different clothing--not Ponder.) Her books are especially rich and useful because she provides both techniques that work and the knowledge that explains why they work and how and when to apply them.

Dynamic Laws of Prayer
Published in Paperback by DeVorss & Company (June, 1987)
Author: Catherine Ponder
Average review score:

inspiring, thought - provoking, life-changing,and EMPOWERING
This is my favorite book. I have now read it 3 times, and it continues to be empowering. The prayer suggestions are straight forward result achieving prayer suggestions. I had my largest month in business after doing the exercises in one of her chapters. I promise you, if you read this book, and really use the exercises, it will change your life, and bring fulfilment and dreams to reality.

Excellent book, easy to read and very inspirational
All of Catherine Ponder's books are excellent, informative and inspiring. This one in particular is so appropriate for the times of this society's materiality. Dr. Ponder is never "preachy", just very matter-of-fact with a significant number of examples. It's little wonder that she has been called the "Norman Vincent Peale" of lady ministers. I personally like her better, and she has a great sense of humor running throughout her books.

Change your thinking, change your life.
Every Ponder book I've read was better than the last; however, I do believe this one is my current favorite. So many ideas, so many prayer techniques, so much potential for such good in my life, I'm bubbling over with enthusiasm. The best thing I can say after reading the book is that Ms. Ponder has renewed my faith. I had become cynical, bitter, and angry. I just felt I had absolutely no control over my life. But I've been putting Ms. Ponder's ideas to work, and I have been faithfully praying and asking for God's assistance. I have let go of so many grudges and have stopped blaming everything and everybody for situations that go awry. I am more at peace, and it's thanks to Ms. Ponder. I highly recommend this book, and any book by Catherine Ponder.

Ponder this is a gem
L.A. MacKay provides us with an insightful, well- written collection of poetry. This book is a must for poetry fans, but more importantly a must for those whom are NOT current fans of poetry. The reason being: This collection of poems flows easily and captures us with a wide range of emotions and subject matter. I read that bookbooters had an unplanned opening in the poetry genre for Ms. MacKay and in my opinion, they made a fine choice.

Hi, Pizza Man!

Authors: Virginia Walter and Ponder Goembel

A MUST HAVE!
This is the only book my son ever wanted to take home from his weekly gym class! It is out of print but worth every effort to find it. After spreading the word that we were looking for it, we even got 2 as gifts but I won't part with them!

A favorite bedtime "topping" in our family!
This book is a riot. It starts off with a little girl playing. "Mama! I'm hungry!" And the Mama helps pass the time until the pizza man comes wondering how you'd greet each incarnation of a pizza delivery... creature. Moooo-oo-oo Pizza Cow. SSsssSS Pizza Snake!

My daughter is 6 and still reads it. It has always been one of her favorites. And, my 16 month old has recently been introduced to the joys of "Hi Pizza Man". He was transfixed, and just about toppled over laughing at Roa-ar Pizza Dinosaur.

100% recommended. This is a classic.

Hi, Pizza Book!
We first picked this book up at the library and my daughter, nearly three, just loves it. Pizza is her favorite food group and she loves making animal sounds. This book is a delightful combination of both joys. The simple and repetetive text allow her to "read" the book to me herself and the illustrations are great. My toddler loves this book and I think yours will too.

The Book Kept Disappearing...
by Molly Conway, 15
Teen Editor
....

I must admit it took me a lot longer than it should have to write this review. One of the main reasons is simple: the book kept disappearing. My friends enjoyed this book just as much as I did, and I heard, "Can I borrow it just for one day?" and "Oh, I'm sorry I forgot it!" more times than I would care to count. But the book's journey is certainly a tribute to just how fabulous it is. It went from Rebecca the super-vegan, to Ruchi the Hindu dance queen, to Andrew the master cartoonist, to Darryl the sports guru, to Lauren the punk princess. The book had the same effect on all sorts of people. No one can read it and not smile, or at least come out of it a little happier than before.

This is the daybook for Aquarians or for other time-impaired people. It gives you something fun to add to your daily agenda. The ideas range from deceptively simple, like pretending you're a Spice Girl; to crafty, like making a glitzy tampon case; to silly, like tying a yellow ribbon around an old oak tree. Even the title is cool! Hey Day! The Super-Amazing Funk-da-Crazing Ultra-Glazing Day Book: Things to Do, Make, and Ponder Every Day of the Year, by Super Clea and Keva Marie.

It certainly keeps its promise of being the craziest, weirdest, and most thoroughly enjoyable daybook you will ever encounter. It's a definite must for any crazy chick who's open to new ideas or for a not-so-crazy chick who wants to be a bit sillier. A great de-stresser for homework swamped friends and sisters, too.

The Ponder's Bible
Published in Paperback by Carolelle Publishing (01 February, 2000)
Authors: Gosta H. Lovgren and Gösta H. Lovgren
Average review score:

Down home and folksy
Widely praised as 'easy to read' and common sense. Yes, it does appeal to 'horse sense' thinking, but it doesn't really get into the whys. I think some of the advice was not that good - especially the 'just throw a handful of food in there' one (disaster in a very small pond...even in mine with very good filtration). Otherwise I liked reading it and it was humorous and cute. I suggest finding the color one tho - the black and white one is pretty nasty - the pictures are murky and I would have liked to have seen the examples!

Wisdom begins in wonder
Considering how much time I spend thinking about nothing I thought this would be an interesting read, which it was.
Yet, I'm still left to ponder what this book has to do with pondering. It's ponderous to say the least.

Down to earth Ponding 101
I had already started a small ABS plastic pond before I bought the book. The author has a much larger pond and explains everything about it. He covers it from A to Z.
I am a do it yourselfer and really enjoyed his explanations and innovative ideas.
Eventhough the construction part did not apply to my situation there is plently of other things that do apply.
The author makes no secret that he is giving you his opinion on how to do things and what he likes and doesn't like. For example, he does not like UV clarifiers and prefers to balance the ecosytem to take care of the water borne algae. He states that if the clarifier kills the algae, what elese does it kill but admits that it can kill parasites, etc. that can harm your fish.
Interesting stories of things he had done and mistakes he had made. Not techinical at all but yet it covers about everything.

Prospering Power of Love
Published in Paperback by DeVorss & Company (June, 1984)
Author: Catherine Ponder
Average review score:

Who's Who In Religion & Who's Who In The World
Your author, Catherine Ponder is listed in the above publications. She is often described as the "Norman Vincent Peale" among ladies.

The Chapter Titles are: The Miracle of Love, Love Your Way To Success, Love Works a Healing Power, The Resurrecting Power of Love, A Special Method of Love - Parts 1 & 2, How Love Prospers.

Healing and Abundance are discussed about Marriage, Health, Joy, Release and yes even monetary needs are discussed here within the context of the outgo of love!

Love will change your life
Catherine Ponder has got be one of THE MOST influential inspiration writers that I have ever come across. Her words are timeless, as are the messages, yet, after one reads her books, it is all really very simple, yet it is we who complicate it all, thus complicating our own lives!! I have read this book at least twice and it is one of my "must haves" in my library.

Ponder helps the reader look at all situations in one's lives though new eyes - the eyes of love and forgiveness. Releasing, forgiving, and loving are all that one really needs to live a most joyous and abundant life. "Release is a form of forgiveness that we all need to practice often. Emotional release is one of the highest forms of love." If one has feelings of low self-esteem, low self worth and feelings of helplessness, I guarantee that after reading this book, one "can" change themselves, as well as their life around forever.

We are taught through her teachings of love, that we can heal ourselves on many different levels, including success in our business lives. One of my favorite quotes (and there are many) from the book is, "Whatever your problem it is but a test in love. If you meet that test through love, your problem will be solved. If you do not meet that test through love, your problem will continue until you do! Your problem is your initiation into love."

One only needs faith and trust to conquer that which holds us in bondage.

I absolutely love this book and when fear creeps in, this book is amazing to refer back to once again let love shine and to live in the light.

"If you are not attracting the good that you desire in your life, learn to express love; become a radiating center of love: and you will find that love, the divine magnet within you, will change your whole world. . . When your heart is filled with love you will not be critical or irritable, but you will be divinely irresistible." (A quote from May Rowland as quoted in this book.)

This book is a pure gem - may you shine on after you read it!
Namaste.

A must have for every library!
I rarely read a book more than once, but I read this book 3 times in 2 weeks. Three days after the first reading of this book and using the affimations I had a demonstration ( I won something I needed that was worth $57.00). I was flabergasted. I never win anything. There is also a really neat method in it you can use to solve all kinds of problems (relationship, financial, health etc). This method has brought inner change and growth in me. Buy this book. It will be the best 6 bucks you've ever spent. It has been for me. I highly recommend it.
